Hidden Growth: A Look at the 2025 P2P Top 30

I wanted to write a post to amplify Natalie Stamer’s excellent keynote at this week’s Peer-to-Peer Professional Forum Conference in Baltimore.

Two things got in the way of that.

One, I couldn’t make it in person – winter travel one, Jeff zero!

Two, once I read Natalie’s remarks (she was kind enough to send them to me), the quick post turned into a long analysis.

Natalie’s speech was excellent, and as I had a chance to look more deeply into the U.S. numbers, the story they tell reinforces everything Natalie said and then some.

Once you look underneath the surface of the Top 30, you see that there is a lot more growth in the peer-to-peer fundraising sector than we give ourselves credit for.

We built an interactive deep dive with original analysis and custom visualizations that tell more of the story. The first five chapters are live now, with more coming in March.
